los vendedores ambulantes
cinematographer & editor
Directed by Danielle Osuna & Hannia Lopez-Razo
Short Film | 5 Minutes | Documentary | English & Spanish
What started off as a normal night selling hotdogs outside frat parties at San Diego State University for Jose Andres Arguelles Alvarez turned sour as he got harrassed by college girls for virtually no reason. The footage of Jose getting attacked immediately turned into local viral news as this wasn’t the first time street vendors were treated poorly in San Diego. In this documentary made as a final for infamous documentarian and early hip hop photographer, Brian “B+” Cross’ class, myself and others investigate this aggressive phenomenon and culture towards street vendors in San Diego, including an insight into Mr. Alvarez’s situation in: Los Vendedores Ambulantes.
